2025 AMBA Annual Luncheon

The AMBA Annual Luncheon will be held on Friday, 9 May 2025, from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, VA.

Each year, AMBA hosts a by-invitation* luncheon in Washington, DC, in conjunction with our spring executive committee meeting, to come together and share ideas among our members and partners. The AMBA Spring Luncheon will be held in conjunction with the quarterly Military Family Financial Readiness Coalition Roundtable.

Lieutenant General David Wilson currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9, for the Headquarters, Department of the Army. He was commissioned in 1991 upon graduating from The Citadel and has held numerous leadership, command, and staff positions throughout his distinguished career.

Early in his career, LTG Wilson served in a variety of roles, including Fire Support Officer in Korea and multiple logistics positions supporting operations in Somalia and Kuwait. He later commanded Delta Company, 703rd Main Support Battalion, and held key assignments with the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.

Following graduation from the Command and General Staff Officer Course, LTG Wilson deployed to Iraq with the 1st Armored Division and held roles including Executive Officer and Deputy G4. He commanded the 121st Brigade Support Battalion at Fort Bliss, deploying again in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Subsequent assignments included serving in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army and as Commander of the 406th Army Field Support Brigade.

LTG Wilson served as the 40th Chief of Ordnance and later commanded the 8th Theater Sustainment Command and the U.S. Army Sustainment Command. He has also held senior logistics roles in Korea, including Director J/U-4 and Deputy Director, C4, Combined Forces Command.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration, an M.S. in General Administration, and an M.S. in National Security and Strategic Studies.

His awards include the Distinguished Service Medal (2 OLC), Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (2 OLC), Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), and numerous campaign and service medals. He also holds the Combat Action Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

Prior to the luncheon, AMBA will host the Military Family Financial Readiness Coalition Roundtable discussion in partnership with the Military Family Advisory Network.
