For 65 years, AMBA has been the exclusive military banking trade association serving the banking community and our Nation’s armed forces. We are excited to hold this year’s Annual Workshop in Seattle, WA celebrating AMBA’s 65thyear.
AMBA conducts an annual workshop to provide an opportunity for its members, government officials overseeing military banking, federal regulators, banking trade organizations, and other stakeholders to exchange ideas and discuss the latest banking issues affecting service members, Veterans, and their families.

Hotel reservations are now closed for the 2024 AMBA Fall Workshop.
The deadline to reserve a room at the Lotte Hotel has passed. The hotel may still have rooms available, but not at the group rate. You can visit their website here to inquire about availability.
AMBA has secured a small block of rooms at a nearby hotel, the Renaissance Seattle Hotel, at the discounted rate of $269/night. The room rate is exclusive of applicable state and local taxes (15.7% + 2.3%). Housekeeping and other gratuities will be at guest discretion. Government Travelers
Rooms will be offered at the Federal Government Per Diem rate of $232+/night to participants traveling on the Federal Government Per Diem. To obtain this rate, please make your hotel reservation with the Renaissance Settle Hotel at the workshop rate of $269+/night and then contact Centennial Conferences via email (amba@centennialconferences.com) with your confirmation number and dates of stay to obtain the government rate. You will receive notification from Centennial Conferences when your room reservation with a rate of $269+/night has been converted to government rate. Your confirmation number will remain the same. As always, your US government ID must be presented upon check-in to receive this rate.
Reservation Guarantee and Cancellation Policy:
The hotel will require you to enter a credit card number to hold your hotel reservation. You may cancel your reservation with no penalty if cancelled more than 72 hours before arrival. If you cancel within 72 hours of arrival, you will be billed for one (1) night room and tax charges.
Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM (noon). Early check-in and late check-out will be accommodated based on availability. For late check-outs, please inquire at the front desk on the day of departure.
Hotel Parking Fees
Overnight valet parking: $72/night (includes in and out privileges).
Taxi/Ride Share Service
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is about 30 minutes (depending on traffic) from the Lotte Hotel Seattle.
The estimated taxi and ride share costs from SEA is $50-$60 for one-way transfers. We recommend that you ask your driver to take Hwy 99 (turns into Alaskan Way) which has less traffic and is less expensive of a transfer.
The Lotte Seattle Hotel Concierge would gladly assist you with making transportation arrangements if needed by calling 206-800-8110. The rate for a one-way sedan transfer from SEA is $130.
Each year AMBA offers a companion program for companions of Workshop attendees.
Companion Social Package $175
When registering, add a companion and choose this package for your companion to attend the Sunday Welcome Reception, Monday Reception & Banquet Dinner, and the Tuesday Farewell Reception with the attendee. All events are full meals.
Companion Tours $130 & $50
While the attendee is busy at the Workshop during the day, the companion can choose to attend their own activities Monday, Tuesday, or both.

Monday, August 26, 2024 – A Day in Seattle
Enjoy a day in Seattle. After a 10–15-minute walk to the Monorail station, ride to the Space Needle, built for the 1962 World’s Fair. Next, you’ll tour Chihuly Gardens and Glass, providing an insight into Dale Chihuly’s inspiration and influences for his famous glass sculptures. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at the Bar at Chihuly Garden and Glass. Following lunch you’ll visit MoPOP, the Museum of Popular Arts, which is home to the world’s most immersive pop culture experiences, showcasing iconic moments in TV, rock and roll music, science fiction and more.
These attractions are all located very close together. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
$130 includes entrance for the three venues, monorail and lunch.
Tuesday, August 27, 2024 – A Day on Bainbridge Island
Enjoy a day on Bainbridge Island. It’s a 10-to-15-minute walk to get to the Bainbridge ferry. Once you’re onboard, you can relax and enjoy the scenery on the way to Bainbridge Island. Weather permitting, you’ll see views of Mount Rainier and the Cascade mountains. You’ll take a stroll through the beautiful tree lined streets to explore the charming shops. Don’t miss the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Admission is free. You’ll meet at noon for lunch at Doc’s Marina Grill. After lunch, you’ll stroll back to the ferry for the return trip, exploring shops you may have missed on the way to lunch.
You will encounter some steep streets on the walk to and from the ferry. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
$50 includes Ferry and lunch.
