Association of Military Banks of America

2012 Workshop

2012 AMBA Annual Fall Workshop September 9-12, 2012 The Fairmont Hotel, Seattle, Washington

For over five decades, AMBA has been the exclusive military banking trade association servicing the banking community and our Nation’s armed forces.  Through its mission of promoting financial independence and readiness, AMBA led the Nation’s banking industry in working with the Department of Defense to implement major payday lending legislation which provides protections for service members and their families from potentially abusive lending practices and products, while preserving the availability of credit products and services that are beneficial and are the hallmark of military banks. AMBA conducts an annual workshop for its members and government officials overseeing military banking. The AMBA Fall Workshop provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the latest banking issues affecting the service members and their families.

Seattle Glassblowing Studio was founded in 1991 specializing in making custom blown glass lighting and glass sinks. During a 2 1/2-hour workshop each person can design their own color pattern, add color and help heat and blow one piece, usually an ornament, bowl or sea float.  Artwork will need to cool overnight and is generally available 24-48 hours after the event for pickup.  We can arrange for shipping if necessary.
