Jeffrey Major
I began my military career in March 1983, enlisting in the U.S. Army and completing Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I went on to attend flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and was later stationed in Germany as an AH-1 attack helicopter pilot during the Cold War from 1984 to 1988. After being grounded in 1988, I transitioned into leadership roles, serving as a TAC Officer at the Warrant Officer Candidate School and later as an Aviation Maintenance Officer with the 377th Medical Company in Korea.
While on active duty, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I concluded my military service in 1993 after 10 years, departing at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3).
Following my transition to civilian life, I spent a decade leading teams in the retail and travel center industry before entering the financial sector in 2003. I joined a company specializing in personal loans for military personnel and became an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education (AFCPE) in 2005.
Over the next 20 years, I built a career in banking and lending, and for the past decade, I’ve dedicated myself to serving active-duty service members and veterans facing financial challenges. I currently serve as a Personal Financial Readiness Specialist at Fort Carson Army Community Service (ACS), where I continue to support the military community with financial education and guidance.
