AMBA Called on Congress to Preserve Vital Support for Veteran Entrepreneurs

AMBA submitted a letter to Congressional appropriators opposing the proposed elimination of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) program in the President’s FY 2026 budget.

The VBOC network has been a critical resource for transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses seeking to start or grow small businesses. These centers, responsible for training more than 55,000 individuals annually, have served as key partners to many AMBA member banks in expanding economic opportunity within the military community. AMBA urged Congress to fully fund the VBOC program and protect this essential support system for veteran entrepreneurship.
