We invite your attention to the attached new DoD Instruction on Financial Readiness of Service Members. Of particular note and relevance to AMBA member banks operating on DoD installations is the provision at 3.3b, which states that on-base banks and credit unions “may provide financial literacy and training.” Much of the remainder of the instruction focuses on the substance of acceptable training and the qualifications required of persons engaged in such training and counseling.
