Association of Military Banks of America

2013 Workshop

2013 AMBA Annual Fall Workshop September 8-11, 2013 – The Boar’s Head Inn, Charlottesville, VA

For over five decades, AMBA has been the exclusive military banking trade association servicing the banking community and our Nation’s armed forces.  Through its mission of promoting financial independence and readiness, AMBA led the Nation’s banking industry in working with the Department of Defense to implement major payday lending legislation which provides protections for service members and their families from potentially abusive lending practices and products, while preserving the availability of credit products and services that are beneficial and are the hallmark of military banks. AMBA conducts an annual workshop for its members and government officials overseeing military banking. The AMBA Fall Workshop provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the latest banking issues affecting the service members and their families.

The Boar’s Head Inn provides a world-class retreat in an exceptional destination, setting standards high for Virginia resorts.  The Boar’s Head offers the very best that Virginia has to offer.  In a city as steeped in history as Charlottesville, Virginia – home to U.S. presidents and the University of Virginia (UVA), witness of the ravages of the Civil War and the burgeoning Virginia wine industry – it’s a significant achievement for a resort to rise in prominence.  The Blue Ridge Mountain locale of The Boar’s Head Inn would be enough to qualify for such distinction, but this remarkable 573-acre property compliments the fresh mountain air and stunning scenery with gracious hospitality, gourmet cuisine and a sense of the past that doesn’t sacrifice a single modern amenity.
