Amanda is a current military spouse, mother of three, and former combat medic. After she exited military service to raise her family she went back to school while her husband continued his service in the Army. She received her undergraduate degree in business administration in 2016 and immediately became a small business owner. After receiving orders to Germany, she had to shut that business down and decided to instead further her education in the area of business she least understood, accounting.
Originally, she had planned to resume entrepreneurship once she returned to the United States, but it turned out she had a real knack for accounting and finance. She, instead, pursued her master’s degree in accounting and graduated with honors in 2020. Amanda was selected to be a part of FINRA Military Spouse Fellowship program in 2019 and currently serves as a program ambassador. She is an active volunteer in the military community and has served as leader and treasurer for many soldier and family readiness groups. She currently works as a bookkeeper/accountant for a small veteran owned accounting firm and is actively working toward her certifications as an Enrolled Agent and CPA.
